dc3 Art Projects

dc3 Art Projects is Edmonton's premiere contemporary commercial art gallery. For a decade, it has supported and presented the artwork of the most intriguing Albertan and Canadian artists. Its activities included exhibitions at the gallery in Edmonton, art fairs in Toronto, Montreal, and New York (USA), Zurich (Switzerland) and Basel (Switzerland) and offsite exhibitions in Edmonton, Toronto, Montreal, Los Angeles (USA), and Basel (Switzerland). In this spirit, the premise of its return after a short hiatus might seem to be more of the same. While it is true that it will be exhibiting at its gallery again – with slightly different goals – in 2023, at the heart of this is the manner in which dc3 supports ambitious artistic and critical projects. To best support the creative ideas of Edmonton, dc3 focuses on its local programs, which contain themed group shows and solo exhibitions of selected artists more than once a year. Some of these exhibitions are exclusives to dc3 and are curated by myself, David Candler. These shows may include works for sale, on loan from other galleries or private collections, or part of the permanent collection. There is a focus on local insights in the program, which will feature local, regional, and national artists in all media. On the days that there are no dc3-directed exhibitions, our space will be rented out. We are open to rental daily, weekly, or one-month exhibition rentals depending on the proposed exhibition.
