At 636 Yates Street, Victoria British Columbia Canada, Deluge Contemporary Art is near Broad. Deluge is the first floor of the city firehall. Our gallery was named after the building and its original residents. We challenge artistic practices and discourses and are algorically networked. Deluge participates in a dynamic community on national and international media and visual arts. The gallery offers students and emerging artists paid internships, mentorships, and scholarship opportunities, especially for underrepresented groups pursuing careers in the arts. Since 1999, Deluge has hosted 265 exhibitions featuring nearly 800 local and international artists. Supported by the Canada Council for the Arts and the Government of Canada, Deluge recognizes the nation’s financial support for its artists and culture. Deluge is on the unceded land of the Lekwungen, Coast Salish, Esquimalt, and WSANEC First Nations. We also acknowledge the Songhees, Esquimalt, and WSANEC First Nations.
