Ahmad Barzak is a paralegal licensed by the State of California and a training attorney at Diversitas Law Group. He obtained his Masters of Laws in Canadian Common Law, from York University. He also has a bachelor’s degree in law from United Arab Emirates University. In 2016, Ahmad received the Faculty of Law’s Award of Excellence for graduating from the Paralegal Studies Program at Westervelt College, London. Ahmad has over five years of experience helping clients with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship. During that time, he worked with Edward Corrigan Law Office, managed by Edward Charles Corrigan, a Certified Specialist by the Law Society of Ontario. Ahmad assists with Family Law cases under the supervision of Ms. Li. Tian. Ahmad's knowledge of the Arabic language has been beneficial to the Arab communities in London and the surrounding area. Ahmad is a member of The Law Society of Ontario since April 2017. He also represented York University in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, held in Austria in 2015 as part of the competition team during his postgraduate studies. Ahmad started working at Neighborhood Legal Services as a student during the summer of his Masters. This is where he learned and developed his analytical and legal skills through exposure to a wide range of law fields like Refugee Law, Housing Law, and Criminal Records.
