Corky Bell School of Dance is a dance school with over 65 years of tradition. From beginner to advanced instruction, we offer classes for all ages from 2 1/2 up to adults. There are classes in jazz, tap, ballet, dance, pointe, and baton. There are also a number of workshops available in the studios, including drama, singing personalities, pageant preparation, and ballroom dancing. Our studio has the benefit of being able to promote students from a beginner or preschool level up to an advanced level. Our owners began dancing with Corky at age 2, while the third was a Corkette under Corky himself. The Corky Bell School of Dance aims to foster the imagination of the students through dance. Corky Bell School of Dance shows its commitment and interest in the community through performances throughout the entire year. The Corky Bell School of Dance has performed in the Hoover Met as well as at Fairfield, Homewood, and Helena Christmas Parades. Our students also have appeared at the Brookwood Christmas Show, The Festival of Trees, and many churches.

The church continues to seek ways of sharing Christ in a rapidly changing world and being a Christ-centered positive influence on Birmingham and the surrounding area. Steve Potts began his ministry at Westwood Church in 2006. Westwood Ballet and Irish Dance are fine arts ministries that our church provides to the local community. This ministry's purpose is to put dance at the service of Jesus Christ. We want to teach dancers the best classical traditions so they can use their talents to honor God. Westwood Ballet presents powerful, beautiful, and creative performances to share God's Love in an innovative and memorable manner. Every year, they hold a spring performance at their church and perform at many events around the community.
