Westwood Ballet

In 1947, Westwood Baptist Church was established as a mission church of Sandusky Baptist Church in Fairfield. The Rev. J. B. Jackson presided over the church, while on its establishment, the Fairfield Baptist Churches assisted in organizing the church. For generations, Westwood has developed into a healthy church, committed to missions and outreach. It continues to look for ways to share Christ with a rapidly evolving community and be a positive influence for Christ in Birmingham and the surrounding area. Steve Potts began his administration at Westwood Church in 2006. Westwood Ballet and Irish Dance This fine art ministry is a church ministry geared to the local community. It is a ministry that is entirely about Christian dedication, community service, and all that is joyful and lovely through dance. In this small but unique ministry, the best classical traditions are taught, and the dancers use their talents for the glory of God, with an excellent emphasis on sharing God's love and brightness in a new and effective way. They have accomplished highly effective and imaginative performances over the years and have touched and rejoined the community effectively. There is a performing year that is held each spring at the church and participates in many other events in the community.
