Chris Bubany Studio

Chris Kennedy-Bubany was born and raised in New Mexico. She lived in Tucson for over 30 years and is the proud mother of two grown-up sons, Dan and Brent. She grew up in a large family deeply connected to Indian Arts & Crafts and surrounded by stunning Zunis Hopis Navajo art. Her grandparents and parents worked in the Indian Arts & Crafts industry in the early 1900s. Writing and making cards as a kid sparked Chris's lifelong love of art and color. The fun you can have with color is evident in her work. The saying is real: do what you love as a kid and you'll get paid for it as an adult! Her passion for making ceramics started with the tiling of her kitchen and bath. Chris studied Graphic Design at the University of Arizona and graduated with a BFA. She moved to a new house with George in 1994, and they started making tiles together. They are still used today. You can commission Chris to design and make ceramic tableware, ornaments, tiles, coaster stones, and wool rugs.
