San Diego Community College District

The San Diego Community College District (SDCCD) is the second-largest community college district in California. Over 100,000 students attend one of its three credit colleges: San Diego City College, San Diego Mesa College, and San Diego Miramar College. Mesa College includes seven campuses. The colleges provide associate degrees, and Continuing Education offers career technical certificates. This prepares students to transfer their skills and knowledge to higher-paying careers and universities. Mesa College offers an associate degree in Health Information Management (HIM) as part of California's Baccalaureate Pilot Program. SDCCD has worked with the local community and military for the success of its students. The District and its graduates contribute $5.5 billion in economic impacts to the region. Approximately 98 percent of District students remain in the region after completing their studies. SDCCD currently serves more than 12,000 veterans and active-duty military personnel and their families.
