Art Sanctuary is a 501(c) community-based arts collective that supports the visual, performing, and literary arts in local communities through education, events, and promotion.
Our philosophy is that art is necessary in life. We want to optimize the practicality and scope of the space for artists at a low cost so that they can succeed, integrating them into the Gestalt of community. Our studios are a place where artists can work, practice, record, take classes, attend lectures and exhibitions, and engage in conversation, criticism, and collaboration. There is an abundance of talent in Louisville in need of integration into active and vibrant art communities to move the emphasis of art to the forefront. By surrounding us with the best, we can further this Gestalt vision of the community.
