Spencer Funeral Home was established in 1896 with the founding of William F. Spencer Funeral Service. Typically, funerals occurred in the homes of the deceased, and the company's storefront was located at 408 E. Broadway. We owned two hearses and had four horses available for all our funerals. Our operations shifted to 575 Broadway in December of 1946 because of changing funeral practices that led to increased use of the funeral home instead of the homes of the deceased. William F. Spencer Funeral Service provides affordable, quality, and dependable funeral services, a tradition that William F. Spencer, Jr., has been upholding since 1896.
