We were founded in 1993 and we are now a global leader in negotiation consulting. Our office is located in New York City. Negotiation, conflict management, and communication are our area of specialization. Our services aim to help clients handle collaborative relationships. We offer three areas of expertise which include training and development, peace building, and consulting. Our services are highly specialized. We have combined experience, expertise, and service quality to support clients from both the public and private sectors in negotiating and managing their most complex issues. We have been in service since 1995 Our History Consensus was founded in 1993. Initially, we focused on large-scale initiatives, such as joint venture partnerships or mergers and acquisitions that involve public companies. Although our strategic issues were our primary focus, negotiation was a part of every engagement. As the Internet became increasingly relevant to the global economy, we saw our expertise grow and included emerging businesses on our client list. Our clients began to ask us to negotiate partnerships, privatizations, divestitures, and mergers. We engaged with both startups and well-established multinational corporations in this work. In 1999, we were established as relationship and negotiation experts, and many of our consultants joined the Harvard Law School’s Harvard Negotiation Project. We created a Training and Development department in 2000. In 2006, we added an international Peace Building service. Consensus has participated in diplomatic negotiations, hostage negotiation, coaching and executive training, as well as more than $1 Billion of international business transactions. Our team reflects the culture and values established nearly three decades ago, even though Consensus has existed for over 25 years. This includes a commitment to providing world-class professional and client services, as well as helping our clients address their most complex professional, diplomatic, and strategic issues.
