Ocean State Ballet

Our staff is a husband-and-wife team prepared to use our 25 years of professional ballet experience and understanding of the dance community to inspire the next generation of dancers to follow their dreams and achieve their goals. Ocean State Ballet was founded in 2020. High-quality dance education is crucial, but we also work to foster imagination and resilience in our students. Our goal is to promote a supportive and creative environment for ballet dancers to explore their natural ability, express themselves, and learn about art. Ocean State Ballet's faculty includes artists and teachers with impressive skills and talents who can efficiently direct students to develop and thrive. Ocean State Ballet’s program uses the Vaganova Method to refine technique and safely progress students through the training. Vaganova is a codified method of ballet training that combines the technique's physical, mental, and emotional qualities. The Vaganova method helps students learn a full range of movements through proper basic positioning. Our ballet instructors come from various backgrounds, which allows for cross-training in different styles. This variety helps our students deepen their understanding of classical dance as they progress and develop into more advanced performers.
