In 2003, Rod Bickel founded the service-oriented cycle shop that became Bike the Planet. This store was formerly R.B.'s Cyclery. Mel Clark is the owner. He joined Rod in 2010 and was his senior mechanic until he and his wife Louise purchased the company in 2013. The store will continue to provide Cannondale, Felt, and Marin bikes. The store began with road and triathlon bikes when Mel was the owner. However, Mel has broadened the offerings to include comfort and lifestyle bikes, as well as mountain bikes for a wide range of prices. BTPM also offers outstanding repair and service for all bike models and a selection of accessories.
