Growing up in a family of outdoor enthusiasts, my brother and I often find ourselves surrounded by nature. We have lived a life that is filled with hunting, fishing, and camping. Even when we were not in the woods or water, we were packing up and going to outdoor industry trade shows with our dad, a teacher turned entrepreneur. Our father taught us how to appreciate wild game, uncharted territory, and quality gear. Unfortunately, we could not say the same about our coolers at the time. They would crack, snap, or even collapse when we needed them the most. These cheaply made, ordinary coolers were a nuisance to replace each season and limited our fun. This annoyance led us to find a solution. YETI Coolers was born in 2006 with a single mission: to build a cooler that we’d use every day if one existed. We created a cooler for outdoor enthusiasts who went into the wild, not the backyard, not the beach, and certainly not just the parking lot. We wanted a product that would endure the abuse it would experience in the field or on the water. We wanted a product that would not break.
