Experience
Tsveti graduated from Bulgaria's Silistra's University of Angel Kanchev with a degree in Art Education. Art history revealed Impressionism to be her favorite art style. She wanted to seize the fleeting moments when light touches an object. During her time at University, she had the opportunity to study art under Jordan Kole, a classically trained artist. In 2006, Tsveti immigrated to America. Tsveti found the US an exciting new place and challenging. She started volunteering for the Virginia Museum of Fine Art in her early years. The volunteering experience only further ignited her passion to become a master painter. Her time at the Virginia Museum of Fine Art opened her eyes to the possibility of becoming a professional artist after high school. Tsveti took a personal mentorship course from a representative painter named David Tanner here in the US. She walked with Anne Blair Brown and Maggie Siner. Tsveti is spotted a lot of times plein-air painting at different sites within the Richmond region. Tsveti Sowers is a member of the Portrait Society of America and American Impressionist Society.
