Welcome to the Capital of Peace Education on the West Coast Our Mission: Empower and prepare innovative changemakers to shape a world of peace and justice. PATRICIA MARCQUEZ, DEAN With a 300% increase in enrollment over a few years and all our master's programs ranked top three nationally, we are ready for a cultural renaissance in which humanity has a unique opportunity to write its next chapter. We aim to build a crucial bridge for peacemakers, justice-seekers, and future-builders who will rebuild a devastated world. Between 1998 and 2003, Mrs. Kroc provided funding for the building and established the Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice. She also developed curriculum and programs for the Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies. Since 2000, our school has helped students from every part of the globe develop the ability and courage to address the most urgent crises of the 21st century. Through deep learning, students can join other changemakers to create solutions. Our students don't just talk about today's world crises or other challenges; they also learn how to apply data and critical theory to make impactful changes.
