Established in 1993, Studio of Dance Ballet School is a leading dance institution in the Northeast. We are privileged to be West Hartford's top ballet school. Our goal is to train accomplished dancers to bring this vital art form to your locality. We have classes for everyone, from 3-year-olds to adults, in Creative Movement, Creative Dance, Pre-Ballet, Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary, Jazz, Flexibility, and Pilates. We excel in giving our students the best dance education at any level. We emphasize proper technique. The Studio of Dance undergoes a comprehensive curriculum examination that ensures that every student progresses. We also provide master class offerings from renowned guest artists-in-residence, free and helpful consulting workshops, and fantastic field trips. Our underlying philosophy is that each student has to give their all, regardless of their decision to pursue a professional dance career. We train Ballet based on the Russian Vaganova Pedagogical method, which cultivates strength and grace for the dancer. The incorporation of modern dance strengthens the program, as it readies graduates to meet the varied needs of college and university dance majors and programs, regional dance companies, and dance organizations.
