Monart School of Art, Pearland is a family-owned establishment that aims to educate and nurture the creative leaders of tomorrow through educational art, ceramics, and fashion design for creative students. We offer writing classes, camps, and afterschool programs to meet the needs and interests of all students! The Monart Method, employed by our teachers, is a method that will help your child to increase confidence and improve fine motor skills, visualize and draw their school projects and fabulous ideas more quickly than their peers, and make a strong foundation for their academic and professional career. Since our youngest students, who were born in Houston in 2008, have begun the course, we have seen an increase in confidence and improved fine motor skills. The Monart Method was developed by Mona Brookes. This method uses students' pre awareness and understanding of basic shapes to teach them how to deconstruct complex images into smaller parts. By connecting concrete shapes and color theory to nature, children build a solid foundation that will help them through college, middle and high school, as well as computer animation and digital illustration classes.
